Hey guys. I mostly read plotless books about condescending jerks partying, doing drugs, drinking, and calling things “social constructs.” I probably need to broaden my horizons so suggestions would be great if you know anything cool. Thanks.

“One flew over the cuckoo’s nest” by Kesey is actually about those social constructs you said but it’s really different then “let’s party, YOLO” scheme.

“Catch 22” by Heller is about jerks in army with white gloves who make young people die on a war.

Probably those two will “broaden your horizons”. If not- it’s great books so you might just enjoy them 😉

I’d vouch for Catch-22! Great book, was forced to read it in high school and it’s now literally on my top shelf.

    I should seriously read Catch-22. I’ve heard it’s sort of similar to Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse-V, which I love.

Did you ever read Catch-22? I just re-read it and thought about this post. What did you think of it?
