Fourteen-year-old Maggie Mason has two problems: She's a freshman in high school and she's in love. Maggie has a major crush on gorgeous Adam DeLong, who doesn't even know she's alive. But Maggie is determined to make him notice her, no matter what. The problem is, whenever she tries to impress Adam, her plans backfire. Only one thing is going right for Maggie, and that's math class, where she's the top student--next to Sam Tilden. Sam thinks Maggie should stop calculating the shortest distance between her and Adam, but Maggie's mind is made up.
