Description
This is a compilation of Shelby Foote's 3 massive volumes published from 1958 to 1974; a very long time to compile the most concise and reader friendly history of every single battle in chronological order. Some have said it has a "southern slant", however, I did not find this to be the case at all. Remarkable works for any serious historian complete with maps, etc. My favorite set and very hard to find in it's original version 1st editions.
