Description

Samuel May Jr. writes to William Lloyd Garrison that he cannot attend the Pymouth meeting due to illness, and asks Garrison to hand a letter to Bourne Spooner while there. May expresses concern about his own failing health affecting his work for the cause. In relation to health, May voices concern for Wendell Phillips who has been subpoenaed to Washington. He says Phillips shouldn?t go without ́a strong company of Boston friends, ́ and lists a few people who may be summoned as well. May ends the letter wishing Garriosn a good meeting in Plymouth and also asking him to take copies of an unnamed petition with him along with some of the speeches of Phillips and Garrison on the subject.
