Sein palaisartiges Haus in München bot den angemessenen Rahmen für die Präsentation seiner Sammlungen, wie eine Folge historischer Aufnahmen erweist, die in dem Band erstmals veröffentlicht werden. Der den Band beschliessende Katalog stellt die in Riggisberg befindlichen Silbergegenstände aus Pringsheims Besitz ausführlich vor und ordnet sie in den kunst- und kulturgeschichtlichen Zusammenhang ein.
