Description

Samuel May Jr. (Writer) tells Samuel J. May (Recipient) that the semi-annual meeting of the American Antislavery Society has been postponed as proposed by Recipient. He suggests new potential dates for the meeting, which will most likely to allow William Lloyd Garrison and Wendell Phillips to attend. He says the telegraphic communication from Recipient arrived too late for an action. After discussing the health of Mrs. Alcott and Recipient?s wife, Writer tells Recipient about the death of Writer?s sister-in-law.
