Description
En août 1906, le jeune Ernest Psichari s'embarque à Bordeaux dans le cadre de la Mission du Haut-Logone, dirigée par le commandant Eugène Lenfant. Durand plusieurs mois, l'expédition parcourra le centre de l'Afrique, entre le bassin du Tchad et celui du Congo, étudiera les moeurs et les langues des populations locales. Psichari tiendra régulièrement un journal de route où il relate les moments majeurs de l'expédition.
