Description
Seit den großen retrospektiven Ausstellungen in der Staatlichen Kunsthalle Baden-Baden, dem Kunstverein Hannover und dem Museum Moderner Kunst Kärnten in Klagenfurt 2005 haben sich im Werk Georg Herolds (b.1947) enorme Umwälzungen und Verän- derungen ergeben. Der nicht selten missverstandene Umgang mit dem Material Holz oder der Dachlatte ist vom Künstler so erheblich ver- ändert worden, dass nun nochmals deutlicher zu Tage tritt, dass es ihm nie vordringlich um die Ver- wendung sogenannter pauverer Materialien ging, also um einen Nachweis, dass Kunst auch aus "einfachen" Materialien entstehen kann.
