Description

May discusses trans-Atlantic mail delivery and letters in "The Inquirer" from the "Lover of Justice and Charity," an unknown opponent of the Massachusetts abolitionists. He acknowledges receipt of copies of the "Daily News" and the "Anti-Slavery Reporter" and thanks Estlin for sending them. May discusses Henry Ware's abolitionism and his anti-slavery songs. The final pages of this letter, written a day later than the initial pages, are concerned chiefly with mailing arrangements and expressions of gratitude for books.
