Description
This work presents us with a vision of the trajectory of photography and the role played by photographers throughout Uruguay during one of the most interesting stages of its history. A period when operators demonstrated their creativity in the notices and presented themselves clad in a halo of magic and technicality behind the black velvet they used to focus. The author and his collaborators have analyzed the period press, consulted archives and museums, interviewed photographers and in some cases their descendants and visited collectors from Uruguay and Argentina. This second volume covers the departments of Soriano; Colonia; San Jose; Flores and Florida. A reference chronology and an introductory historical review are added to the development of the biographical profiles of each of the photographers.
