Samuel May Jr. (Writer) agrees with Samuel J. May (Recipient) that Frederick Douglass deserves criticism, but says Mr. Wallcut, Wendell Phillips, and William Lloyd Garrison advise Recipient not to get into a controversy with Frederick Douglass. Writer says he is sending extracts from Maria Weston Chapman?s letter to Richard D. Webb ́of which Douglass has told so many lies. ́ He also says Garrison and Phillips talked with Douglass.
