La mondialisation ne signifie nullement la fin des nations et ethnies mais, à l'inverse, en les remaniant, les institue en objet potentiel porteur de subversion. Il faut rompre avec le linéarisme marxien mais peu marxiste de l'évolution sociale (du " plus petit ancien " au " plus grand contemporain ") et réhabiliter la nation/ethnie non point comme étape nécessairement liée à la révolution bourgeoise, mais comme une tendance permanente au sein des mouvements sociaux. Cela permettra alors de cesser de confondre internationalisme et antinationalisme.
