Description

George Bourne writes to Amos A. Phelps that his ́Brethren and Friendś urged Bourne to attend the upcoming assemblage of the ́Universal Reformerś because those present at the meeting are more likely to listen to him than they would listen to anyone else. He and his Brethren wish that Bourne will be presented as somebody attending the meeting at the request of Phelpśs quarter rather than as a volunteer. He says if Phelps agrees, he ́may search out some Hebrew and Greet, with which to bother the Universal DEformerś (emphasis by Bourne).
