Description
It contains lesbian traditions of the 17th -18th century: Little, sometimes funny tales of the lifes of the people of this beautiful island whose dialect differs in some terms from the general Modern greek. Some of the tales are told in this special Lesbian dialect. (Lesbians are called all the peope who are born on the island Lesbos!) These tales are most folksy and reach from soft vulgarity to general triviality, sometimes witty and even wiser tales like some of the well known european fairytales. Some of the themes were even absolutely new to me! (Like the tale of a maiden who did not find a groom, because of her constant and penetrant farting all the time!)
