Description
Als Wegbereiter der abstrakten Plastik und als Schöpfer der Skulptur 'Dreiklang' (1919/24) ist der Berliner Bildhauer Belling bekannt. Doch in sechs Jahrzehnten künstlerischen Schaffens trug er weitaus mehr zur Kunstgeschichte bei: Als Porträtbildner entwickelte er eine charakteristische Handschrift. In Partnerschaft mit Architekten entstanden Innenräume, Bauplastiken, Brunnen und Denkmäler; Bau-Utopien fanden Ausdruck in visionären Entwürfen. Auch in der angewandten Kunst hinterließ der 'Alleskünstler' Belling Spuren -- seine 'Moden-Plastik' gilt bis heute als herausragendes Beispiel der modernen Schaufensterpuppe. Exhibition: Hamburger Bahnhof - Museum für Gegenwart, Berlin, Germany (08.04. - 17.09.2017).
