Description

"Broadside calling for the formation of a Society \"for the education of candidates for the ministry in Cambridge University\" to raise funds \"for assisting meritorious students in Divinity of limited means to reside at the University for a requisite time, of one of more professors whose attention may be exclusively given to this class of students, and of a separate building.\" The resulting society would be established in 1816 as The Society for the Promotion of Theological Education at Harvard University."
