Writing to Samuel J. May (Recipient), Samuel May Jr. (Writer) says he has been keeping track of Recipient?s activities in Europe through his letters to the family members and in the Antislavery Standards. After commenting on some of the Recipient?s activities in Europe, Writer relates some new development in the US relevant to the issue of antislavery, such as a renewal of the African Slavery Trade and the Oberlin?Wellington Rescue, as well as the discharge of an alleged fugitive in Philadelphia and a recent action of the American Tract Society that failed to take a stance against slavery.
