Description
Piet Raemdonck (1972) woont en werkt in Antwerpen. Zijn werk onderzoekt de dialoog tussen herkennen en niet herkennen, tussen figuratie en abstractie. Hij werkt niet binnen een omschreven stilistisch format maar zonder vast systeem. Als kunstenaar houdt hij van de klassieke genres binnen de schilderkunst: landschappen, stillevens en portretten. Vandaag is abstractie een niet weg te denken aspect in zijn werk. Het motief wordt vaak volledig losgelaten. Kleuren, vormen, lijnen en het licht doen het werk.
