Description

May thanks Webb for the large amount of space in the "Anti-Slavery Advocate" that was allotted to his letter to Eliza Wigham, which he says was widely praised. May also thanks Webb for the photograph of him and Mrs. Webb. May details the photographs of famous people that he has in his collection. He explains certain details in connections with the subscriptions to "The Liberator" and the "National Anti-Slavery Standard." He tells of his son Edward's experiences on a blockading gunboat and mentions a rumor of the capture of New Orleans.
