Jahrhunderts. Wie wenige seiner Zeit verstand es Crescenzi die Potentiale des im Umbruch befindlichen Kunstsystems aufzugreifen und individuell zu nutzen. Unter den in Rom und Madrid agierenden Mäzenaten fiel er nicht so sehr durch seine Sammelleidenschaft als vielmehr durch seine künstlerische Ausbildung auf.
