Description
Historiquement Frantz Anton Mesmer (1734-1815) est considéré comme le fondateur du magnétisme animal, ancêtre de la technique hypnotique. Comme les planètes agissent les unes sur les autres, la lune et le soleil sur l'atmosphère et les mers, il concluait que ces grands corps agissent aussi sur le système nerveux, moyennant un fluide très subtil qui pénètre tout. Ce fluide ressemblerait par ses propriétés à l'aimant. En conséquence il l'appellera Magnétisme animal. Mais Vienne n'était pas prête à accepter ces idées troublantes... Il publiera son premier livre à Paris en 1779.
