Der Mythos und die Ausstrahlungskraft der Gartenstadt Margarethenhöhe als "Dichtung in Stein und Grün" sind bis heute ungebrochen. Zugleich ist sie ein zeitlos gültiges Beispiel für einen sozialhumanen Städtebau. Als Stiftung von Margarethe Krupp wurde sie von dem Stadtplaner und Architekten Georg Metzendorf von 1909 bis 1934/38 errichtet. Der vorliegende Architekturführer stellt die aussergewöhnliche Siedlung in ihrer Baugeschichte bis zur Gegenwart vor und erleichtert die Orientierung und den individuellen Besuch der Margarethenhöhe.
