En la actualidad, los cambios sociales, culturales, económicos, políticos, tecnológicos, así como las demandas de la ciudadanía, han hecho tambalear las bases sobre las que se asienta la naturalidad de la familia nuclear heterosexual, cuestionando las formas alternativas de convivencia y los ordenamientos jurídicos nacionales e internacionales.
