Description
Bauhaus på norsk er den første publikasjonen som belyser Bauhaus' innflytelse på norsk design, billedkunst, arkitektur og kunstpedagogikk i mellomkrigs- og etterkrigsårene. Boken forteller den ukjente historien om de tre norske Bauhausstudentene Herman Espeler Brodtkorb, Ola Mørk Sandvik og Hans Mollø-Christensen, samt arkitekten og forleggeren Edvard Heiberg som var professor ved skolen. Like mye som Bauhaus på norsk handler om nordmenn på tysklandsferd, er det også fortellingen om kjente utenlandske Bauhauskunstnere som Marianne Brandt, Ivo Pannaggi og Vilhelm Bjerke Petersen som på ulike tidspunkt var bosatt i Norge. Boken sporer også Bauhaus' påvirkning på norsk stålrørsmøbel- og brukskunstproduksjon, samt forteller den unike historien om Jakob Prytz og Arne Korsmos arbeid med å innføre Bauhausundervisning ved Statens håndverks- og kunstindustriskole 0(SHKS).
