In celebration of John Calvin's 500th birthday, P&R Publishers presents The Calvin 500 Series. This series provides several studies on major themes in Calvin's thought and life. This book, entitled, Calvin in the Public Square: Liberal Democracies, Rights, and Civil Liberties, examines Calvin's contribution to the rise and development of primarily the Genevan, British, and American political traditions.
