Description

Samuel May Jr. writes to William Lloyd Garrison that Miss May asked to postpone the meeting in Newburyport because the city refused to let them use the town hall and she could not find any other potential venue. May says he informed Miss Ashby, Charles Lenox Remond, and Parker Pillsbury about this, and proposes to Garrison a few towns in the south part of the same county as potential alternatives to Newburyport. In the Postscript, May asks Garrison whether he could attend a meeting to be held in South Newmarket on 26th and 27th, adding that many people there are hoping to see Garrison at the meeting.
