Description

Samuel May Jr. (Writer) writes to Samuel J. May (Recipient) that the American Antislavery Society secured meeting places in New York City for its upcoming annual meeting. He says that all other committee members support the plan to meet in New York, except for William Lloyd Garrison. He says ́[i]t will be a decided triumph to hold a meeting of the Society again in that city ́ even though this may be a disappointment to people in Syracuse, which was the back-up location for the meeting.
