Description
Daly's Theatre bill of the play. This evening, Friday, December 27, 1889, and every evening until further notice wil be acted the comedy in five acts, by William Shakspere, entitled "As You Like it" which will be presented, after many months of exacting preparation, with novel scenic embellishments by M. Amable of Paris, by Henry E. Hoyt, Esq., by Goatcher & Young, and Mr. James Roberts. The costumes after original designs by M. Bianchini of the Grand Opera, Paris, and E. Hamilton Bell, Esq. made expressly for this production by Messrs. Arnold & Constable. The intricate and ingenious mechanical effects by Mr. James Tait, the illuminations by gas and electricity in charge of Mr. John Welch, and the accessories by Bernard Schuster. Original incidental music and the harmonious arrangement of fmailiar Shaksperian and early English melodies by Henry Widmer, Esq., and a cast of surpassing interest. The whole produced under the immediate direction of Mr. Augustin Daly.
