brought by the mayor, bailiffs, and burgesses of the borough of Liverpool, for the recovery of a penalty under a by-law made by them in Common Hall assembled : containing the arguments of the counsel, as well at Nisi Prius, as upon the motion for a new trial in the Court of King's Bench : the proceedings on the second trial at Lancaster, and on motion in the Court of King's Bench for a third trial, with the reasons at Large of the Hon. the Justices of the said court for granting the same
