Description

Abstract: The teaching materials contained in this program are designed as a simple introduction to the economics of agriculture, food processing, and food distribution. When students have finished the activities, they should have a better understanding of how their food gets to them, why it costs what it does, and how agriculture influences the American and the world economy. This program can be used as a separate learning unit or it can be incorporated into several areas of study - economics, history, sociology, home economics, and math.
